There is a very specific size for a very specific task, this is explained below:
Micro - 1/8oz + 1OT Hook - works EXTREMLEY well in shallow water (1'-6'), water that's clean right above grass, moss and algae. The small, compact and lightweight jig with the suggested trailers on it can hoover right under the waters surface yet right above the undergrowth and give a nice subtle vibration bringing the bass to the bite!
Highly recommend rigging the Micro with the Mini Battle Bug and Grub Minnow Ribbon Tail.
Mini - 1/4oz + 3OT Hook - works EXTREMLEY well in shallow to medium depth (1'-10') clean water, with none to medium flow, not suggested if there is a lot of algae etc subsurface or heavy flow.
Highly recommend the Mini with the 3.5" Battle Bug, Grub Minnow Ribbon Tail and MegaThump Paddle Tail.
Magnum - 3/8oz + 4OT Hook - works EXTREMLEY well in deeper water, heavy undergrass (can rip threw most) and heavy flowing creek / river waters. The weight is juts enough to sink the jig to deeper depths if you know the bass are hiding out low and to the bottom in moderate flowing currents.
Highly recommend the Magnum with the 3.5" Battle Bug and Slinky Snake.
